Zytiga (Abiraterone) is an antineoplastic agent, the active substance of which is abiraterone. Additional components are also attached to abiraterone: lactose monohydrate, MCC, carboxymethyl cellulose, sodium dodecyl sulfate, pyrogenic silicon dioxide. Zytiga is a treatment for prostate cancer. It should be used once a day, without chewing and drinking plenty of water. Until today, Zytiga is considered the most effective drug for the treatment of prostate cancer, abiraterone limits the action of all sources at once that produce hormones - androgens and are responsible for the functioning of the male reproductive system. This is important, as hormones contribute to the appearance and growth of tumors in cancer. Zytiga is a medicine that slows down the CYP17 component, necessary for the process of androgen biosynthesis. Due to this, the work of all male hormones is suppressed. Zytiga reduces the accumulation of testosterone and other hormones to a minimum. Contraindications for use are inflammation and serious liver diseases, it is forbidden for admission to minors and people who are allergic to any of the components of the drug
