A més dels arxius públics, hi ha a Catalunya molts fons documentals, fotogràfics, de reculls de premsa o biblioteques de professionals com els crítics d'art que expliquen l'art del passat recent que estan desprotegits. S'hauria d'arbitrar un sistema de "salvament", partint del principi que s'ha de partir d'un primer criteri de selecció.
