Les actuacions ens jaciments arqueològics i monuments han de venir marcats per la utilització del tot preferent de materials tradicionals (fusta, morter de calç, pedra, etc...) per tal de fer restauracions, restitucions, reconstruccions, museïtzacions, consolidacions, etc. Cal impedir-ne l’ús de materials moderns (ciment, vidre, alumini, ferro, ferro corten, totxo, varilles de corrugat, totxo trinxat, plaques de bastida, etc.).
