Em sembla bé, no és cap anomalia utilitzar un nom compost. En tenim exemples: Parc Natural de Sant Llorenç del Munt i l'Obac, Parc Nacional d'Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici, etc.

"PARC NATURAL DE LA MUSSARA, PRADES, BOSCOS DE POBLET, VALLS DEL BRUGENT, SIURANA I GLORIETA?.....no es tot massa llarg per posar un nom per que to-hom es senti representat? Personalment el nom de PARC NATURAL DE LES MUNTANYES DE PRADES, ja em sembla bé.

Que jo sàpiga, "Muntanyes de Prades" no ha existit mai, ni administrativament ni com a topònim (Serra de Prades, si).
Prades és un poble més dels 22 municipis que conformarien el Parc... Sembla que el més gran es menga el més petit.

Si tenim en compte que dins de les Muntanyes de Prades ja existeix una zona protegida (i amb més grau de protecció que parc natural) com és el paratge natural de Poblet, crec que seria convenient el nom de Parc Natural de les Muntanyes de Prades i Poblet.

Si mirem els origens del comtat de Prades i els seus limits (_) ,crec que el nom que mes li escau es el de MUNTANYES DE PRADES i POBLET (que no estava dintre del comtat ) .

La donació es feia de "Totas montaneas nostras vocatas de Prades, in Cathalonia situatas, cum vila de Prades et castro ac vila de Ciurana, et aliis castris, villis, locis ipsarum montanearum de Prades" (totes les nostres muntanyes anomenades de Prades, situades a Catalunya, amb la vila de Prades i el castell de la vila de Siurana i altres castells, viles i llocs d'aquestes muntanyes de Prades) i comprenia els llocs, castells i viles de Prades, Siurana, Capafons, la Febror, Ulldemolins, Albarca, Vilanova de Prades, Cornudella, Arbolí, Aleixar, Vilaplana, Maspujols, Mont-ral, Samuntà, la Riba, Cabrera, Farena i La Musara. L'extensió total del comtat era de 1.158 km2.
