    Invitations and selection of participants

    In October 2023, 20,000 nominal invitations will be sent to citizens of Catalonia. Those who receive one, must register on the website. Among those who want to participate, a draw will be held that will result in a selection of 100 people representing different profiles of Catalan society.

    18/11/2023 - 16/12/2023

    Training and learning phase

    The Assembly begins with the inaugural session on November 18 and until January 2024 the sessions will take place to deepen the challenges/dilemmas and questions. In this phase, participants will be able to compare information regarding climate change, as well as arguments, positions and solutions proposed by experts. Experts and other people will act as speakers and work with citizens to analyze the problems to which the Assembly must respond.

    13/01/2024 - 10/02/2024

    Deliberation phase and preparation of recommendations

    From January 2024 until February 10, 2024, the Assembly will focus on deliberation sessions that will lead to the preparation of final recommendations that are as consensual as possible. This work will give rise to a report of recommendations for climate change, energy and agri-food policies, which will be delivered to those in charge of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

    Assessment and return phase

    Once the results report has been delivered, those in charge will analyze the recommendations of the Assembly and will have to be accountable to the members of the Assembly and the public as a whole, in order to explain which recommendations and how they are incorporated into the policies of the Generalitat, as well as those that are not collected and the reasons for their exclusion.
